BNY Mellon Creates Wealth Role In The Northeast

BNY Mellon Wealth Management has made a senior hire from PNC Private Bank spanning New York to northern New Jersey.

BNY Mellon has appointed Esteban Colon to the new role of wealth director within its New York and northern New Jersey team.

Esteban was previously a senior relationship manager at PNC Private Bank in Ridgewood, NJ. Before that, he was a global international financial advisor in New York for Bank of America Merrill Lynch, having previously served as business financer officer and head of financial planning and analysis for Latin America.

In his new role at BNY Mellon Wealth Management, Esteban will report to managing director Katia Friend.

In other recent moves at the firm, last month it brought in Jeff Jagard as a senior wealth director in Los Angeles, CA. The same week, BNY Mellon hired Margaret Franklin as head of wealth management advisory services in Toronto, Canada. Also in June Jasmine Yu joined as director of manager research and monitoring in New York - a new role within the firm's wealth management division.

As of March 31, 2016, BNY Mellon had $29.1 trillion in assets under custody and/or administration, and $1.6 trillion in assets under management.
