SunTrust Banks Re-Jigs Management Team

The Atlanta-headquartered firm announced four senior management moves, including at its private wealth management business.
SunTrust Banks has appointed its chief risk officer, Tom Freeman, to head up its consumer and private wealth management segment, while announcing other management changes.
All appointments are effective from November 1.
Reporting to Freeman, among other leaders, will be Joe Thompson, who is head of private wealth management at SunTrust.
In August 2014, Willem Hattink was named as chief executive of GenSpring Family Offices (an affiliate of SunTrust) and as head of private wealth management specialty groups at SunTrust. Hattink reports to Thompson.
Besides Freeman, the other appointments include: Brad Dinsmore to lead consumer banking, reporting to Freeman and overseeing the company's omni-channel strategy (physical branches and digital consumer channels); Jerome Lienhard, who until now led the mortgage segment, to CRO, replacing Freeman; and Dorinda Smith to mortgage segment executive, succeeding Lienhard.
