Envestnet Partners With Structured Products House

The partnership adds to a number of developments at the US firm in recent months, such as the private wealth consulting space.

Envestnet, the New York-listed wealth management systems firm, announced yesterday that it is partnering with structured products group SIMON Markets.

Under the partnership, financial advisors using Envestnet’s system and unified managed account (UMA) platform can offer structured investments as fee-based solutions. They can manage such products across their lifecycles using analytics, education, and portfolio allocation tools from SIMON.

“With income and protection becoming even more critical for a diversified portfolio, we continue to forge ties with partners who can bring advisors greater access to these types of investment strategies,” Tom Sipp, group head of Envestnet Solutions, said.

With the integration between Envestnet and SIMON, advisors will be able to place structured investments in UMAs, which are a key component of many broker-dealers’ fee-based businesses.

Among recent developments, Envestnet entered a strategic relationship with YieldX, a fintech business aiming to shake up fixed income investing. In March, the firm said that its Envestnet | PMC business had launched Private Wealth Consulting, a new “white-glove offering.”
