The latest senior moves and appointments in North America wealth management.

Lafayette Square, an impact investment platform in the US, has appointed a real estate investment industry figure Onay Payne as managing director for the asset class. 

Payne, who has worked in the real estate business for more than 25 years, was previously MD and portfolio manager for Clarion Partners, a firm overseeing more than $70 billion of client money. She joined that firm in 2003. She started her career in JP Morgan’s investment banking arm.

Payne earned a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University (magna cum laude) and an MBA from Harvard Business School, where she was a Robert Toigo Foundation (“RTF”) fellow. She currently serves as chair of the RTF Alumni Endowment Board and chair of the finance committee of the board of the Mark Morris Dance Group. She is also a member of the Harvard Alumni Real Estate Board; the Real Estate Executive Council; WX New York Women Executives in Real Estate; the Urban Land Institute, where she sits on the national Technology and Real Estate Council; the ULI NY Advisory Board; and the Advisory Board of Building Cyber Security.
