Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Hoxton Wealth, Mesirow

The latest moves, appointments and personnel changes in the North American wealth management industry.
Hoxton Wealth
The US business of international financial advisory firm Hoxton Wealth has
appointed a former senior US regulator Justin Burse (main
picture) as its new US compliance chief.
Burse most recently served as the Deputy Commissioner and then the Acting Commissioner for the Kentucky Department of Financial Institutions, where he oversaw regulated entities, including banks, credit unions, investment advisors, broker-dealers and the mortgage industry.
His earlier roles include chief compliance officer and general counsel at Credent Wealth Management; he has also worked at Hilliard Lyons, FINRA and Fidelity Investments.
Burse holds an Executive LLM in securities and financial regulation from Georgetown University Law Center, a JD from the University of Kentucky J David Rosenberg College of Law, an MBA from Fairfield University, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from Fordham University. He is also a Certified Regulatory and Compliance Professional (CRCP)® designation holder.
In recent moves, Hoxton appointed Isabella Bara as product
marketing manager for its Hoxton Wealth app.

Mesirow
Mesirow, a wealth
manager, has appointed Gary Pattengale as senior vice president,
advanced planning strategist, wealth advisor.
Pattengale comes to the firm with more than three decades’ financial sector experience.
In 2023, Chicago-headquartered Mesirow announced the acquisition of Front Barnett Associates, and in September 2024 it acquired Price Wealth Management, an RIA firm based in Stuart, Florida.
Prior to joining Mesirow, Pattengale worked at Corient and Northern Trust.
Mesirow Wealth Management, which has more than $12.4 billion in assets under management/assets under advisement, has $306.2 billion in assets under supervision.
