Coller Capital
London-headquartered Coller Capital, an independent investor focused on private market secondaries, has just launched the Coller Secondaries Private Equity Opportunities Fund (C-SPEF), a tender offer fund designed for high net worth investors.

This private equity secondaries-only offering unlocks a new way for individuals to invest in private markets, providing easy access to the asset class through a diversified, institutional-quality portfolio, the firm said in a statement. â€śSecondaries,” in such cases, relates to buying and selling pre-existing stakes in private equity, credit, real estate, and infrastructure.

“Secondaries investing has proven to be an attractive way to access private equity, delivering compelling absolute and risk-adjusted returns across cycles,” Jake Elmhirst (pictured), partner and head of Coller Capital private wealth secondaries solutions, added.

C-SPEF aims to deliver a combination of attractive absolute and risk-adjusted returns, diversification, and the opportunity for more liquidity than traditional private equity funds. Available to both US taxable and tax-exempt investors, the fund offers monthly subscriptions and quarterly redemptions, a lower minimum than traditional private market investments, and 1099 tax reporting. It does not charge a performance fee and, as a benefit to first movers, it has waived its management fee for the first year, the firm said. It will be open for investment in April 2024.
