United Capital Adds Starbucks' Creative Luminary To Board

Starbucks' Arthur Rubinfeld has joined the board of wealth manager United Capital Financial Advisers.
California-based United Capital Financial Advisers, Inc has appointed Starbucks' chief creative officer and president of innovation, Arthur Rubinfeld to its board of directors.
Rubinfield, who helped build Starbucks' client experience and global brand, will lend his creative expertise to the group, which has dedicated research of late to prioritise consumer engagement.
“The way we think about it, we’re not in the money business, or even the wealth management business – that is old language for old models. The new category we are building is financial life management – these are the words that people in our research study connected to, and how we approach our clients,” said chief executive at United Capital, Joe Duran, in a statement.
Also joining the board is Andrew Rudd, chief executive of Advisor Software, which offers end-to end technology solutions to wealth planning advisors. His appointment seeks to enhance the United Capital's platform and client-facing tools.
The two new additions bring the company's board members to a total of 10.
United Capital Financial Partners, Inc is the parent company of registered investment advisor United Capital Financial Partners, LLC. It currently manages $13 billion in assets from 59 offices across the US.
