United Capital Financial Advisers has added Philadelphia-based Vantage Point Advisors to its network. The latter firm is rebranding as United Capital Private Wealth Counseling.

The deal adds around $170 million in fee-based assets under management to United Capital, which as at 21 March recorded $13 billion in assets under advisement (along with its affiliates).

“As we join the United Capital partnership, we feel this is an opportunity to expand the reach of our services to more families and institutions in the Philadelphia area,” said Terry Siman, who formed Vantage Point in 1984.
