The Boston Company Appoints Alternatives Director, CAO

The Boston Company Asset Management, a Boston, MA-based equities investment specialist that is part of BNY Mellon Asset Management, has appointed Adam Joffe to the newly-created roles of chief administrative officer and alternatives director in Boston.

As CAO, Joffe will oversee operations and support service, while reporting to Joseph Gennaco, president and chief operating officer.

Joffe's director of alternatives role will see him responsible for developing the firm’s capabilities across the alternative investment space, including hedge funds, long/short funds, sector-specific portfolios, market-neutral strategies and other specialties. For this, he reports to Bart Grenier, chairman, chief executive and chief investment officer.

Prior to joining The Boston Company, Joffe served as chief financial officer and senior vice president at New York-based First Eagle Investment Management.

Earlier, he spent over ten years at Deutsche Asset Management, where he held various roles, including chief operating officer of hedge funds and fund of funds for DB Advisors Hedge Fund Group.
