State Street Names VP For Wholesale In Australia

State Street Global Advisors, the investment management division of the US' State Street Corporation, has named a new vice president for wholesale sales based in Australia.
Amy Johnston takes up her new role as the firm pushes forward with expansion plans for its insitutional offerings to family offices, private banks, researchers, dealer groups and independent financial advisors.
Johnston moves from Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where she served as national accounts manager. Before that, she worked for Perennial Investment Partners and Merrill Lynch Investment Managers.
In her new capacity, she will be responsible for expanding product lines, including active, passive, alternative and exchange-traded fund strategies to their wholesale channels, the firm said in a statement. She will also help in the self-managed superannuation fund business.
Johnson reports directly to Peter Mitchell, the head of business development for Australia and New Zealand.
State Street Global Advisors operates in eight cities through Asia-Pacific and has at least 700 financial professionals in Australia alone.
