Rockefeller Brings In New Private Equity Head

New York-headquartered Rockefeller Financial has hired Jeffery Moy as head of private equity effective 1 August 2011.

Moy was previously a senior managing director at Liberty Mutual Investment Advisors, where he specialized in alternative market portfolios. In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing Rockefeller's private equity and venture capital program, including the selection and review of third-party managers.

The appointment complements the hire of John O'Hara as managing director and senior advisor in June 2011 and supports the company's expansion drive in the US. O'Hara used to be the chief operating officer of Franklin Street Partners, a wealth management firm in North Carolina.

Rockefeller Financial operates through Rockefeller Wealth Advisors, Rockefeller Asset Management, Rockefeller Capital Partners, and Rockit Solutions. It records $30 billion in assets under administration as of 30 June 2011.
