RIA service agency launches desktop service suite

TCA says TCRepresentative helps RIAs who distribute through
intermediaries. Trust Company of America (TCA), a provider of
custody services to fee-based registered investment advisory
firms, today unveiled TCRepresentative, a set of tools designed
to help advisories better manage and service their network of
representatives.
"We listened to our advisors and delivered customizations to help
support their representative-based business models," says Terry
Reitan, president and CEO of Centennial, Colo.-based TCA. "We are
now bundling these tools in a comprehensive program to provide
the same benefits to all advisors who sell through
representatives."
Another pair of eyes
TCRepresentative is designed to increase the efficiency
advisories and their client-facing intermediaries. The technology
suite generates management reports that help home offices oversee
their networks and pinpoint areas where returns can be enhanced.
TCRepresentative also generates real-time data that reduces time
spent on tedious administrative processes.
"Our TCRepresentative program is a must-have for any investment
advisor who sells through some type of representative, such as
registered reps, wholesalers, solicitors, other advisors, or even
banks," says Reitan.
Other TCRepresentative tools include an interactive analytics
application, intermediary activity reports, fee breakdown
reports, and email notifications of client deposits.
For intermediaries, TCRepresentative offers real-time position
information, quick-view pie charts of account holdings,
time-weighted return information, historical account information
(dating to the account's inception with TCA), and online access
to 12 months of client statements.
An advanced version of the software lets intermediaries set up
client accounts, apply investment strategies and fee schedules to
an account in addition to performing on-demand account
management. -FWR
