Global law firm Proskauer has recruited Robert Leonard and Michael Mavrides within its hedge fund group as partners in New York.

Global law firm Proskauer has recruited Robert Leonard and Michael Mavrides as partners within its hedge fund group in New York.

Leonard has 25 years of industry experience, representing and structuring domestic and international hedge funds, funds-of-funds and other private investment funds and fund managers. He also has detailed experience in regulatory compliance, Proskauer said.

Mavrides represents domestic and offshore hedge funds, funds-of-funds and other private investment funds. He also has significant experience representing institutional and entrepreneurial clients in structuring their management companies and advising on transactions such as joint ventures, derivative and structured products, and credit arrangements.

“Robert and Michael will expand the scope of our robust private investment funds practice and broaden the services we offer to our diverse base of funds, institutional investors and financial services clients,” said Proskauer chairman Joseph Leccese.

The pair join Proskauer from Bingham, where they were partners in the New York office.

Proskauer’s Hedge Funds Group is based in New York, London and Chicago, IL, and is part of the firm’s international Private Investment Funds Group.
