Cresset Develops Denver Presence, Names Office Chief

The organization, which has been building out its family office business, has a new office in Denver and has named its head.
Cresset, the wealth management group, has named Jeremy Shevlin as the head of its new Denver office. The firm has also appointed Jason Mussetter for the new office in Minneapolis. Whitney Webb joins in San Diego.
Shevlin brings more than 20 years of experience. Prior to Cresset, he served for 15 years as a principal at a multi-family office, where he led the client advisory department and sat on the strategic and tactical investment committees. He started his career as a financial planner at an independent investment consulting firm in Melbourne, Australia.
Mussetter, CFA, has joined Cresset as managing director, investment strategist for the Midwest region. He joins the Minneapolis-based office, recently announced by Cresset and led by Michael Deasey, JD, regional managing director of the Midwest region. In his new role, Mussetter will report to Deasey. He will also design, construct, and manage customized investment strategies on behalf of Cresset’s clients.
Previously, he was a senior portfolio manager with Abbot Downing of Wells Fargo, where he managed institutional-quality assets for the Minneapolis and Houston multi-family offices. Prior to that, he was a portfolio manager with Evergreen Investments.
Whitney Webb has joined Cresset as director of family wealth education. In her role, Webb leads the development of family wealth education initiatives, which will include curriculum and programing around topics such as financial literacy, multi-generational engagement, leadership development, and money and relationships.
Webb recently served as director of operations for Independent Means, educating and preparing families for the responsibilities and challenges of wealth transfer. She is also the founder of Launch Generation, a leading summer program for teenagers that is focused on financial literacy, leadership, and entrepreneurship.
Cresset was founded in 2017 and now oversees more than $3 billion in assets under management and recruited more than 90 team members across seven offices.
