Admiral Capital Appoints US Army Veteran As COO

The group has hired a military and financial services veteran.
US-based investment manager Admiral Capital has appointed Joseph Walsh as chief operating officer.
Walsh kick-started his career in the US army, where he held leadership roles ranging from tank platoon leader to battalion staff officer, before joining Goldman Sachs for the best part of a decade.
Additionally, he has former roles at Moelis & Company, Cole Real Estate Investments, and RCS Capital, and consequently gained experience in investment banking, business development, strategic analysis and business process re-engineering, Admiral Capital said.
In his new role, Walsh will lead business operations across the group's investment management activities, as well as working on investment strategy, developing the platform's sourcing and asset management functions, and enhancing its investor relations capabilities.
“[Walsh] has broad real estate and business expertise and will bring valuable experience and perspective to our senior leadership team," said Admiral Capital co-founder and managing partner Daniel Bassichis.
Family Wealth Report is awaiting confirmation as to whether Walsh is taking on a newly-created role or succeeding someone else and will update accordingly.
