    Jerome de Lavenere Lussan

    Jerome Lussan is part of a rare breed of experts who can focus on legal and commercial issues all in one. With a vast knowledge and understanding of the regulatory, fiscal and legal requirements that affect the global asset management industry, he is able to combine that with the needs of the investors.

    Taking a strong ethical stance of what protects investors he also believes that this approach if onboarded by managers will continue to assist the industry to grow. Jerome is also author of the FT Guide to Investing in Funds, due to be published in June 2012.



    Ian Woodhouse

    Director, PwC

    Ian Woodhouse is a key member of the PricewaterhouseCoopers PwC EMEA Private Banking and Wealth Management practice leadership team and the Firm’s Customer Operations competency area.

    He has over 20 years experience in assisting private banks and wealth management firms to achieve success with their change and transformation initiatives particularly in the areas of adapting to customer and regulatory driven change.

    Through a combination of insight on industry issues, a sequenced approach to operational transformation and a framework to align process, people, technology and culture change, he and his team support private banks and wealth managers to better and sustainably differentiate to grow their revenues, increase their productivity and keep their businesses safe through meeting their increasing regulatory obligations in the evolving landscape.

    He and his team are currently working with several institutions to help them meet their RDR and suitability requirements and in better leveraging their technology investments to increase front line advisor productivity.

    Ian is a recognised expert in the sector and a lead author of PwC’s highly respected Global Private Banking and Wealth Management Survey which enables participants to benchmark their relative position across key areas of the business and also provides valued insight on emerging trends and drivers of future success.

    Prior to joining PwC, Ian held leadership positions with IBM and Ernst and Young.


    Beverley Sharp CFA

    Global Head of Retail Research, Mercer

    Beverley joined Mercer in London in June 2010 as a researcher within the manager research team, taking on the role of Global Head of Retail Research in September 2011.

    Since then she has taken responsibility for developing the research of strategies suitable for wealth management clients and has worked with a number of Mercer's private banking clients to develop their advisory and discretionary offering. Beverley was previously employed by BDO Investment Management, where she was a Fund Analyst, researching both equity and fixed income products.

    Prior to this Beverley was a member of the multi-manager team at GAM . Beverley has a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy and a Master's degree in Middle East Security. She is a CFA Charterholder and holds the IMC qualification.


    Richard Dell

    Principal, Mercer

    Richard is a researcher with the Manager Research team, a unit within Mercer's investment consulting business. Based in London he specialises in researching Global equity and Global Emerging Market equity managers.

    Richard joined Mercer in March 2008 from Fidelity International, where he was a manager on the Competitor and Fund Analysis team providing quantitative fund analysis on internal and external equity funds. Prior to this Richard spent four years at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (now BlackRock Investment Managers) where he was Assistant Vice President in the Information Research team, working on a range of quantitative based research projects across a number of asset classes. Richard has a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Southampton.

    He has also been awarded the CFA designation and holds the IMC qualification.


    Linda Jane Coffin

    S&P Capital IQ

    Linda-Jane began her career at Reed Stenhouse International, focusing on managing expatriate private client advisory portfolios, fund research and reporting. She joined Jardine Matheson in London, where she managed UK discretionary client portfolios, consulted to the trustees of UK pensions and undertook fund research to compile buy-lists for the portfolio management teams.

    In 1990, Linda-Jane joined Fund Research as a founding director. The company was acquired by Standard & Poor's in 1997, and Linda-Jane fulfilled the role of Head of Fund Ratings. In 2008, she became Chief Quality Officer and in 2012, Product Director.


    Patrick Ryan

    Director, Portfolio Manager, Lazard Asset Management

    Patrick Ryan is a Director of Lazard Asset Management and a Portfolio Manager on the Global Equity Income and various other global equity teams. Prior to joining Lazard in February 1994, Pat was an equity analyst with Hutson Management. He began working in the investment industry in 1989. Pat has a BS in Industrial Engineering from Columbia University School of Engineering and Applied Science and is a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts (NYSSA).


    Phil Cutts

    Chief Executive Officer, Credit Suisse (UK) Limited

    Phil Cutts is Chief Executive Officer and Head of Credit Suisse's UK Private Banking business, based in London. He is also a Board member of Credit Suisse (UK) Limited, the bank's Private Banking legal entity. His responsibilities include growing the bank's wealth management business in London, both for the UK and international market areas, and ensuring a robust risk and control environment. He also chairs the Credit Suisse UK Private Banking Executive Committee.

    Phil is a Chartered Accountant and also holds a B.Sc. in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.


    Ray Soudah

    Chairman and Founding Partner, Millenium Associates

    Ray Soudah is the founding partner and chairman of MilleniumAssociates, the independent international M&A and Corporate Finance Advisory firm, based in Switzerland and the UK. Founded in 2000, MilleniumAssociates specialises in M&A and advisory services for the global financial services industry with particular focus on the global wealth and asset management sectors.

    Ray has extensive multicultural, multilingual wealth management and private banking/investment banking expertise having held senior positions with SBC/UBS, Cedel Bank, the National Bank of Bahrain, Midland Montagu Investment Banking , Midland Montagu Securities and Citigroup, working in territories as diverse as the US, Asia, Middle East and Europe.

    Ray is a Harvard Business School & INSEAD Alumnus and speaks English, French, Greek and Japanese.

In 1999 following a successful career at Lloyds, where he gained a wealth of hands-on asset management experience, Damian co-founded Equipos.     Ausaf Abbas

    Ausaf Abbas is Managing Director of Coombe Advisors, a company he founded to provide strategic, business and financial advice to a network of clients and associated businesses, with a focus on the wealth management industry and growth strategies.

    Prior to that, Ausaf had a 25 year career at Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley, where he held increasingly senior management positions in investment banking and wealth management.

    Cath Tillotson

    As managing partner of Scorpio Partnership, Catherine oversees the research activities of the firm and the development of strategic recommendations for client projects. In addition to client projects, she also leads both Scorpio Partnership’s annual Global Private Banking KPI Benchmark and the Futurewealth project.

    The Global Private Banking KPI Benchmark identifies and tracks the performance of 224 wealth management firms around the world that together manage an estimated 82% of global managed wealth. Meanwhile, Futurewealth is the largest online survey of global wealth trends with end HNW consumers.


    Pete Caddick

    Founding Director, Third Financial Software

    Pete has 27 years’ experience in the Financial IT industry. Pete has broad domain knowledge in investment management, including performance measurement, portfolio management, portfolio modelling & rebalancing, compliance and client reporting. Pete is known as one of the top investment management application architects in the UK and has considerable experience in providing strategic consultancy. In the 1990’s Pete was a founding director of DC Systems Ltd that provided solutions and services to investment management companies. Prior to co-founding Third Financial Software Pete was Group Product Director for WMS plc, a role in which he continued when WMS was acquired by Financial Objects in 2005. Pete was the designer of the award winning activebank Wealth Manager product. Pete is a co-founder and shareholder in Third Financial Software.


    Ian Ewart

    Global Head of Products, Services and Marketing, Coutts

    Ian Ewart is head of products, services and marketing at Coutts, having joined in March 2011. He is a member of the executive committee of Coutts and also a member of the RBS Group communications board. Prior to joining Coutts, Ewart held the position of head of international marketing at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

    His career has been in strategy and marketing in international private banking and asset management. He has held a number of senior marketing positions, notably at Barclays, HSBC and Paribas.


    Richard Colwell

    UK Equity Income Fund Manager, Threadneedle Investments

    Richard Colwell is a fund manager in Threadneedle’s UK Equity Income team who together manage over £3bn and sit within Threadneedle’s wider UK Equity team which manages over £14bn in UK Equities . Alongside Leigh Harrison, Richard co-manages the Threadneedle UK Equity Income and UK Equity Alpha Income funds, both of which regularly appear in the Principal White List. He also manages the Threadneedle UK Growth & Income, UK Overseas Earnings and Monthly Extra Income funds.

    Prior to joining Threadneedle in 2010, Richard gained 16 years’ portfolio management experience with fund management roles at Aviva Investors, Credit Suisse, where he also worked with Leigh Harrison, and Schroders. He has also worked at the Bank of England. Richard has a degree in Banking, Insurance & Finance and is a member of UKSIP and the Chartered Institute of Bankers.


    Mark Johnson

    Managing Director, Head of Sales, iShares

    Mark Johnson, Managing Director, is head of sales for iShares in the UK. In his role, he is responsible for driving the growth of Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) and guiding clients in both the institutional and wealth space on how best to utilise ETFs in an investment portfolio. Mark's service with the firm dates back to 1998, including his years with Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (MLIM), which merged with BlackRock in 2006. Most recently, he served as head of the Strategic Team within BlackRock's Global Client Group, responsible for the management of $200bn of assets on behalf of the UK's largest pension schemes. Mark began his career at Cazenove & Co where he worked in the international investment team.


    Michael G. Bakouris, Ph.D

    Chief Operating Officer, PROFILE

    Dr. Bakouris is the Chief Operating Officer at PROFILE. He has 20 years of experience in the design, development, implementation and management of large and complex information systems and projects, 15 of which as a manager in the financials and banking software domain. He has built productive teams and revenue-generating products over the past years. Michael was responsible for the successful completion of international investment management projects in Europe and Africa, both commercial and in terms of R&D, of a total value exceeding €30 million and the development of 4 large scale commercial Integrated Products.

    Peter Sleep

    Senior Portfolio Manager, Seven Investment Management

    Peter is senior portfolio manager at 7IM where he manages the AAP suite of funds, a £1.4Bn program that invests in ETFs, trackers and the underlying securities in order to gain exposure equity and bond markets worldwide. In total 7IM has £300m invested in ETFs - down from about £700m at peak.

    Prior to 7IM Peter worked at Man plc for two years and at Citigroup for over 10 years in a variety of roles.
