Barclays Wealth has appointed Anthony Valvo as head of credit structuring, Americas, as part of wider moves to build the firm’s banking platform across the region.
Mr Valvo joins Barclays Wealth from Citigroup’s global wealth management division, where he was most recently a senior credit officer, managing structured lending for the high net worth business in the mid-Atlantic, and for the business finance segment nationally.
In his new role Mr Valvo will be responsible for originating, structuring and managing credit transactions for high and ultra high net worth individuals, along with further developing Barclays Wealth’s structured lending capabilities in the region, the firm said in a statement.

"Intelligent credit solutions are an important part of our overall offering at Barclays Wealth and critical for our Americas clients," said Mr Nielsen.
